Can we Talk? character

We are very excited to bring you this hands-on section of the website! Here you will find practical, downloadable tools to use if you are already working with Can We Talk?-¿Conversamos? For those of you who are new to Can We Talk?, this section should give you a sense of how the program works.

Can We Talk? was designed to give students the skills to develop healthy relationships, to understand puberty and sexuality, to make healthy decisions and to avoid teen pregnancy, substance use, HIV and other STDs. Parents and other adult educators facilitate this process by setting up opportunities for role-playing and discussion that simulate real-life situations experienced by youth and their families.

Sample Activities from Modules
Follow the tabs to find sample activities and ideas for each workshop: self esteem, puberty and sexuality, mixed messages and peer pressure. We have also included most of the marketing toolkit in downloadable formats so that you can tailor our flyers and forms to your needs and then print them out yourself.

New Modules in Development!
The NEA Health Information Network is piloting two new modules, "Can We Talk about Drugs?" and
"Can We Talk about Bullying and Harassment?" The new modules are designed to offer more flexibility to trainers and can be used with parents of five to fifteen year-olds. The modules are expected to be available in early 2004. Please email us at info@canwetalk.org for more information on this exciting project.
