Facebook talks about suicide

Did you know Facebook is taking a stand to help prevent suicide? bNetS@vvy recently interviewed Facebook staff about their suicide prevention efforts and the feature on Facebook that most users may not know about. The great thing about Facebook is that they have a greater capacity to reach more people than most other outlets. “Even the smallest message like “how’s it going” or “how did you do on your test” can make a difference in someone’s world.”

5k...Black lights...Cyberbullying?!?

Q. What do black lights and a 5k run have in common?

A. Cyberbullying!

I came across a great article today about a Utah teen who is taking on the issue of cyberbullying in a very different way. Kinsey Eborn has initiated a 5k run that will bring awareness to her peers about cyberbullying. This run won’t be like any other. It will take place at night…with black lights.
