Jeffrey Taschner

Executive Director, DE State Education Association

Jeffrey M. Taschner is the Executive Director for the Delaware State Education Association (“DSEA”). Prior to being named to that position in November, 2013, he served as DSEA’s General Counsel since September, 2000, representing local education associations and their members in employment-related matters. Mr. Taschner received his B.A. degree in Political Science and History from Dickinson College and his J.D. degree from the Dickinson School of Law. He is a former Deputy Attorney General having served both as a criminal prosecutor and counsel to the Delaware State Police. 

He has also served as the Policy Advisor to the Secretary of Public Safety for the State of Delaware. An avid sports fan, he has coached baseball, basketball (boys and girls) and soccer (girls). He resides in Newark with his wife Renee; their children, Tyler, 18 and Laura, 14, and the family dog, Skittles.
