School Lunch Hero Day!

Our friends at School Nutrition Association teamed up with Jarrett J. Krosoczk, author of the Lunch Lady Comics, to create a day celebrating school cafeteria workers!

School Lunch Hero Day recognizes the staff in schools across the country who make nutritious and delicious meals for millions of children and teens.

Cafeteria workers are an essential part of the broad coalition of staff, advocates, parents, educators who are developing and implementing creative strategies aimed at making healthy foods delicious and appealing for kids. And now that Smart Snacks rules go into effect beginning this upcoming school year, cafeteria workers will play an even more vital role in making school meals healthier.
