Canyons School District puts a healthy spin on students’ favorite dishes
Canyons School District has served healthy meals since it opened in 2009, and today the schools continue to boost kids’ excitement around nutritious foods by:
- Cooking lunchtime favorites like pizza and fries in a healthier way
- Creating games to make learning about nutrition more fun
- Setting up taste tests so kids can give feedback on new, healthy dishes

Provo School District launches a fruit and veggie competition
Schools in Provo serve creative, delicious combinations of vegetables and proteins in the cafeteria. Some examples of students’ favorite healthy recipes include rosemary chicken with mushrooms, and fiesta salad with greens, rice, black beans, and fresh salsa.

Nebo School District serves students and parents a healthy lunch
To celebrate this year’s National School Lunch Week, students and families in Nebo School District ate healthy dishes like chicken sandwiches and Mandarin chicken rice bowls. The schools also threw a coloring contest for students to win a new bike. http://bit.ly/18h0nvm
