Serving Up MyPlate is a collection of elementary school materials from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food & Nutrition Service. The curriculum helps educators integrate nutrition education into Math, Science, English Language Arts and Health – and identifies ways in which the lessons meet Common Core, National Academy of Sciences and American Cancer Society standards.

Get started by downloading the Serving Up MyPlate curriculum for Grades 1-2, 3-4 or 5-6.

While you’re at it, be sure to download an easy-to-print “Eat Smart to Play Hard” mini-poster for your classroom or cafeteria, available in English or Spanish.

We all know that building healthy habits is easier when families are on board. The USDA has created “MyPlate at Home” handouts for students to bring home to their parents, explaining how to build healthy meals around the MyPlate nutrition guidelines. Download “MyPlate at Home” in English, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, or French.

Have you used Serving Up MyPlate in your school? What did students learn about nutrition and healthy eating?
