NEA HIN was founded in 1987 to inform NEA members about HIV/AIDS. Next year, we’ll celebrate 25 years ofincreasing awareness and advocacy.
We’re doing great things for the public school community and thereis still much more to be done. Threethings you can do today:
- Learn about bloodborne pathogens: HIV is a bloodborne pathogen. Thishandbook provides basic information and resources about how to deal withblood and other body fluids.
- Visit the World AIDS Day web site: This site has informationon HIV/AIDS that is relevant throughout the year. Learnmore about how you can get involved.
- Spread the word: There are still many misconceptions aboutHIV/AIDS. Make sure you’ve got thefacts.
