NEA HIN was founded in 1987 to inform NEA members about HIV/AIDS. Next year, we’ll celebrate 25 years of
increasing awareness and advocacy.
We’re doing great things for the public school community and there
is still much more to be done. Three
things you can do today:
- Learn about bloodborne pathogens: HIV is a bloodborne pathogen. This
handbook provides basic information and resources
about how to deal withblood and other body fluids.
- Visit the World AIDS Day web site: This site has information
on HIV/AIDS that is relevant throughout the year. Learn
more about how you can get involved.
- Spread the word: There are still many misconceptions about
HIV/AIDS. Make sure you’ve got the
facts.
