It seems that everyday more people are coming up with creative ways to use social media sites.? One couple has decided to create a Facebook page for their unborn daughter, Marriah.? Technically this does not go against Facebook regulations because the page was created by an adult but are they going too far? It’s a creative way to keep friends and family aware of what’s going on with the pregnancy and other parents find it useful even for toddlers.? Are these parents jeopardizing their kid’s privacy before they are old enough to consent?
It appears that Facebook has closed Marriah’s page, but her parents have created a group page to keep their friends and family up-to-date.
What do you think?? Is it appropriate for children under the age of five to have Facebook pages to keep family members abreast of what their day-to-day activities are?
