Philosophy
We believe that young people’s academic achievement is directly
influenced by their emotional, physical and sexual health, and that
outcomes can be improved through effective family education and
community partnerships. So,
we’ve created the Can We Talk? parent education program to
begin to bridge the gulf that often exists between schools, parents
and their children around difficult topics related to sexuality
and health.

with the Academy for Educational Development, NEA HIN has formally
evaluated the progress of Can We Talk? The evaluation contains info
on topics including which marketing strategies work best to ensure
workshop attendance, and how parents’ attitudes on family communication
change as a result of the parent workshop series?
