National Education Association Health Information
Network (NEA HIN), founded in 1987, is a
501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. NEA
HIN believes that sound public education
must begin with school employees who are
healthy and are supported with information,
materials, and training opportunities that
affirm the principles of wellness. The NEA
HIN envisions the day when all education
employees and their students spend their
school day in buildings and conditions that
are environmentally sound and violence-free.
To help realize this vision, NEA HIN provides
members with information and training geared
toward developing health-enhancing behaviors,
reducing health risks, and promoting a safe
and healthy environment. Our materials and
programs focus on NEA members — both as
individuals and as educators — and on the
students in their care.
