The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) National Mental Health Information Center provides information about mental health via a toll-free telephone number (800-789-2647), their web site, and more than 600 publications. The National Mental Health Information Center was developed for users of mental health services and their families, the general public, policy makers, providers, and the media. UCLA Center for Mental Health in Schools . Operating under the auspices of the School Mental Health Project, the UCLA Center for Mental Health in Schools is one of the two national training and technical assistance centers focusing on mental health in schools. Center for School Mental Health Assistance . The Center for School Mental Health Assistance at the University of Maryland at Baltimore is the other national school mental health center. CSMHA provides leadership and technical assistance to advance effective interdisciplinary school-based mental health programs.
