sources for the ENABL (Education Now And Babies Later) program,
as well as for “Can We Talk?”, have included:

Private companies
Community
Partnerships
The Seminole
County Healthy Start Coalition partners with other community organizations
to provide abstinence education to the youth in our area. Some of
those partnerships include: The Grove Counseling Center, The Mary
and Elizabeth Project and the Seminole County School Board.
Training
Since beginning
the “Can We Talk?” workshops last year, we have had a great response
to them as well as an interest in parent support groups. We are
working on developing support groups in different areas of the county
and training parents to be the facilitators of these groups.
Evaluation
Progress
Participants
in the workshops take a pre and post test to measure knowledge before
and after their participation. We also give participants a satisfaction
survey and ask for comments and suggestion on how we can make our
workshops better.
